Spring is just around the corner! Warm weather, flowers, outdoor activities - these are all aspects of spring to look forward to. Most people count down the days when winter is over, waiting for the warmer weather to settle in. However, is your home ready for the spring season? Here are some ways to ensure you are ready for the sunny skies and blossoming flowers.

Cool Air Needed!

One of the most important features in your house you will want to ensure is working - your air conditioner. Once the warmer weather starts rolling in, you need to make sure your cool air is working efficiently. It's a great idea to check all your HVAC filters and change them. Dust and debris might have collected over the winter. If you notice the air isn't fully working or something seems wrong, don't be afraid to call a professional. It's best to get the air flowing and working before the heat of summer begins!

Walk Outside

This step is one of the easiest to do. Take a walk around the exterior of your home and check for any damage or issues that might have come up over the last couple of months. Ensure your gutters are clear and aren't full of debris. If you have any exterior vents, you will also want to look over those and make sure they're clean as well.

If you had a particularly harsh winter, you might also want to make sure your roof has no damage. If you had hail storms or other inclement weather, this could affect your home. Discovering a problem early on will help in the long run!

Outdoor Furniture & Fun

As mentioned before, most people store their outdoor areas for the cooler winter months. This gives them a longer life span because they are protected when they are put away for the cold season. However, now is the time to pull everything back out. You should have cleaned your patio furniture, grill, and other outdoor items before you stored them. This makes it easier when you are pulling them back out for spring! All you have to do is wipe anything down that might have collected dust!

Fertilize Your Lawn

Are you a gardener or love having a green lawn? Once the frost has moved out, spring is the best time to start planting bulbs for flowers and even vegetables if you garden. It's also a great time to fertilize your lawn so your grass starts growing in as well. Before the busy season rolls in, it's also a good idea to check your lawnmower and make sure it's running properly.

Spring Cleaning

The dreaded spring cleaning. It's an annual occurrence that many people participate in, but most don't look forward to completing. Spring cleaning helps deep clean your home and prepare it for the coming year. However, this includes organizing and deep cleaning your household which can take up time.
